Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: Change the Shape of the Future, Price, Reviews & Features

With just a few days left until Samsung’s big Unpacked event, we'’ve seen quite a few videos showing how the Z Flip will look , but now we have the specs, courtesy of slash leaks.

I have to mention  the specs are incomplete; I have included some rumored specs as well.
So, I present to you the Galaxy Z Flip. When folded, the Galaxy Z Flip will have a smaller footprint. Unfolded, it will have a far more familiar smartphone look. The 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display is expected to have a 22:9 aspect ratio with a 2636*1080p resolution and will feature a central punch-hole notch like the Galaxy S20 and Note 10 series.

Samsung has learned from the mistakes of the Fold and has ensured that Z Flip is stronger and can withstand everyday wear and tear. It’s supposed to use an extra-thin glass instead of plastic for the screen. Hopefully, that vertical hinge will be easier to manage than the Galaxy Fold was.

The processor powering the phone is the Snapdragon 855+. Now, this is still a very capable flagship-tier chip that will no doubt run Android 10 Unlike Samsung's previous foldable phone, the problem-plagued Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip sports some upgrades to its folding mechanism, including features like a "fiber shield" to keep dust and debris out of the hidden hinge and away from the display. I 2.0 flavor wonderfully. It's also likely that Samsung opted for the 855+ over the 865 to help keep costs low.

The Galaxy Z Flip will also come with 8GB of RAM, combined with 256GB of superfast UFS 3.0 storage. It's worth noting that you won't be able to expand storage via a microSD card on the Z Flip.

For battery, it will get a 3300mah cell, which, according to rumors, will be split into two cells measuring at 900mah and 2400mah cell. It’s also said to support wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and 15W wired charging. The camera on this phone is not that impressive.

It is set to come with a dual 12-megapixel camera setup with a primary wide lens and ultra-wide-angle lens.

If you were hoping to see a 108mp camera, then it’s not going to happen.

The punch-hole notch is expected to come packing the 10-megapixel Sony IMX 374 sensor.

Now, to wrap it up with the color options and pricing rumors, those suggest that you'’ll be able to pick the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip in four colors: black, gold, silver, and purple.

Leaks have given us a glimpse of the black and the purple versions. As for pricing, it’s expected to launch somewhere close to 1,400 dollars.
